after thinking about my project for the past week, especially since the workshop on tuesday and talking with my friend chelsea, i have hopefully come up with a one sentence thesis. I was talking to my friend chelsea, she is in ip too and simply asked hey, i dont know what your doing in ip whats your project. so i started spitting out all the things i have been thinking about but was really like i just want to make greeting cards, and she said, well why dont you just do that. i think that i lost track of that aspect of the project and got too worried about making something profound and conceptual. elona and john confirmed for me and reminded me that i dont have to make a conceptual artistic masterpiece. i want to make greeting cards based on the the world around me and the relationships i observe. done.
elona made a great point that is obvious but is true, i need to start producing because this is where most of the decisions are made that will determine everything about the project.
john also had a great idea; to think of what different characters in movies and books would do when making a greeting card.
